On March 7th, I gave you a peek at a drawing I’ve been working on for a presentation post to represent the month of March. The final drawing will be posted on Writing and Illustrating‘s website on March 27. When I think of March, I think of windy weather, and therefore, I think of kites. Thus the subject for the theme for this drawing.
The orples are helping Jack get his kite out of the tree. Sometimes, it appears, orples are handy to have around.
The colors are a lot brighter in the printed drawing. I need to figure out why I am losing color scanning, then posting. Hmmmm, anyone out there know why this might be?
Looking good!!! Hugs

Wow! It’s just gorgeous! Makes me wish I was a child again just so I could have my granny reading your books for me. š
Check the dpi settings when you scan. š

I have my DPI set at 300 when I scan, which is the recommended setting. I am beginning to wonder if my problem might be with the program settings in Corel. If I print from AutoCadd then scan, my color is good. If I JPEG out from AutoCadd the colors take on a black tint. When I print from Corel, the hard copy is fine, but the scan copy comes out faded. Hmmm ???

Now that’s funny business. Play around with Corel’s settings and see what it does. That’s all I can advise. Sorry I can’t be much help here. š

No worries, I’m sure somewhere hidden deep in one of the menu settings, there is an answer to be found. I haven’t given up yet. Thanks for responding though and your attempted help. It is appreciated. š

Thank you, Gilly. I appreciate your vote of confidence. I think I’m going to toss a few orple scenarios in here and there among some of my posts and photos. The orples and I appreciate your visit, as always. š

I like your kite post. When I come to think of it I tried to make a kite, I mean from scratch, And it may have worked, i just cannot remember, and have no one to ask about. I remember my model rockets worked (also all from scratch), even the one that changes course, and started chasing us (my cousin and I) for awhile (and no it was not a drone!).
Thanks for the post and the memories it brought up!

I am actually drawing this for an entry with other illustrators, so it will be finished no later than the 25th. I am working on it between other projects, but will be posting it between now and then when done. Thank you for your interest in my drawing. I appreciate it. š

Your attention to detail is wonderful. I like the fact that although there is quite a lot going on in the picture it still seems to have a lot of space in it. Now how does that work?

This drawing is not complete. I finished it today and reposted it under Sunday Photo Challenge, Design #4. I added some flowers, pine cones, purple azaleas, and a hill in the background to round things out. You can check it out if you’d like and you’ll see the difference.
