Weekly Photo Challenge . Two Subjects

How about Geese and Horses as two subjects?  It works for me. 🙂

Those are Averette's horses high on the hill beyond.

  1. It works for me as well. What are the chances of seeing these two subjects together in the same area. Not often where I live.

    Great photo, great choice.

    • I think so, but I wouldn’t put money on it. 🙂 I am more of a horse person, than a bird person, and even then, I’m sure there is plenty I don’t know about horses. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

    • I love it when somebody else trips up,too. I do typos too much, so thank you for making me feel better, knowing I’m not alone. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Jay.

  2. Before i got married, many years ago i was with another girl who used to do show jumping and her family owned a nice place with fields and this picture takes me back to those days… lovely, thanks Marcy…love em”:)

    • Thank you, Gerry. This shot was, of course, taken on the farm I boarded Magi on for four years. I left a piece of my heart there. I’ve always been a trail rider, and for the last five years of riding, a bareback rider. I miss those days so much, so these photos take me back, too. I’m happy that you dropped by to say ‘hello’ and check out my post. I hope life is treating you kind.

    • Believe me, when I ride in my dreams, it is usually on the trails of ‘this’ farm. So many of my trail shots are a part of this estate. Thanks for stopping by, Natalie and commenting. 🙂

  3. This farm is outside of Danville, Va. which in similar in geography to Charlottesville, Va (near where I grew up). Both areas are the foot hills of the blue ridge mountains, and both areas, indeed, offer lovely landscapes. Thanks for dropping by and taking a peek. 🙂

    • Virginia is varied in her landscapes, I suspect she resembles lots of places, depending on where you are in the state. We have mountains, beaches, swamps, and relatively flat areas. Halifax county is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountain system. It has beautiful rolling hills as you can see. The geography in the Charlottesville area is similar to this,as well. Mother Nature and her landscapes…we are so blessed.
