Whew, busy, busy

I seem to be dropping the ball over the last few days, so I offer apologies to all for not visiting as regularly as usual. Hopefully, I’ll be back on track soon. My edited manuscript came back, so I’m trying to correlate book 3 of my orples series. This is page 30 of the prototype of “The Orples Learn To Read”. Right now, I am redoing the entire book, so the fonts will change and any errors should be corrected, prior to publication.

    • Thank you Sunshine. My printer tray just broke, so I’m setting up a ‘new’ printer . Uggg, always something. I could use a blessing right about now. 🙂

  1. Sunshine is right, no apologies needed hon. I am so glad to hear that publication will be happening soon! What a great illustration! The Orples are so gorgeous! 🙂

    • I was making good time, until my printer decided to break. Now, I’m waiting for my oldest son, to try to help me set up a wireless printer. I don’t know where I went wrong, but this has been a ‘hamster on a wheel’ day, if you know what I mean. 😦 . Hopefully, book 3 will be available soon, then I can really call the orples books a ‘series’. Day, by day, I guess. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Sonel.

  2. In reply to this post and your other comment to me, no apologies necessary, I had to take a step back for a while. Losing control and health. But am trying to catch up. PS; I love Orples….thanks a lot ..

    • Hi Gerry, I know, but I don’t want people to think I’ve lost interest, because that is by no means the case. Time is just such an enemy sometimes. I’m glad you like my little orples buddies. I really hope they’ll catch on with the youngin’s. Thanks for your visit, Gerry and for checking them out. 🙂

    • Thank you Madhu. This page will change slightly with a different font, but not too much. I am hoping the orples series will become popular with the kids. Time will tell, in the meantime, thank you so much for your encouragement. 🙂

    • Thank God for editors. I am horrible with punctuation, but have been blessed with an editor that knows her stuff, and she has reworked a couple of sentences (without reworking the story) to make the scenes flow a bit better. I hope to use her on all of my books.

    • Thank you Francine. Yes, I am sooo far behind. I suspect it will be next week before I’m back on track. I guess we can all only take it day by day and realize that life is what it is and sometimes we just have to roll with it. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by, in the meantime, though. It’s always a pleasure to hear from you. 🙂

    • I’m so glad people seem to enjoy my little orple characters. They are a little unusual when compared to most of the ‘fantasy’ creatures that flock the bookstores today. I hope they will catch on. 🙂 In the meantime, I appreciate your encouragement and your visit. 🙂

    • Thank you so much. I’m glad you like the one illustration. There are quite a few drawings throughout the orples books. I always like pictures in a book when I was a kid, so I hope they will attract an audience. We shall see. 🙂 In the meantime, thank you for stopping by and for your encouragement.

  3. Beautiful illustration! And it sounds like you are making great progress with your book. That’s awesome!

I am so swamped with “stuff”, I won’t be able to maintain my blogging presence at the same level for a while. So, I also apologize, in advance, if you don’t see my comments too often.

    • Believe me Natalie, I know exactly how you feel. I’m trying to catch up a wee bit for now. My printer died mid-stream today, otherwise I’d be working on getting my drawings ready to publish. My son is supposed to help me make my new printer work with my computer tomorrow. I did something wrong trying to get the computer to recognize the printer (wifi connection). ??? Ugggg. But I’m glad you like my illustration, for the time being. Except for the font and a little tweaking, it will be in the next book “The Orples Learn To Read”. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and check me out.
