This used to be the run-in shed that Magi enjoyed on the farm. I liked the fact that it had two openings, to allow the horses to go through, either way.

A run-in shed? I am not much of a farm girl.. Is this for the horses to get out of the hot sun or rainy weather?

Yes, A run-in shed is opened, so the horses are free to come and go as they please. Stalls, on the other hand usually are designed to keep an animal confined within the space. I’ve never liked the idea of stalling a horse.

This little run-in has 2 deep corners for shelter from the wind, and double openings for several horses to move in and out of comfortably. It was a cool little building that served its purpose well.

There are so many people around me that have horses, and I didn’t realize how playful they are. And they are very curious animals. I’ve always wanted one.

Horses are wonderful animals, especially if treated with love. These days you might find a horse for free, if you have somewhere to keep it, simply because so many horses are in need of a loving home. The economy has caused a lot of horse owners (myself included) to have to forfeit they beloved animals.

Oh my god, I can’t even imaging how this must feel to forfeit such a beloved animal. I’m so sorry. I think this is one of the main reasons I don’t get another pet. I have lost so many in this lifetime, and it hurts so much. I just think about losing my little puppies that I have right now and I just cry. I can not handle loving something and losing it again. It’s too much, right now. I’m really sorry. Take care ok. Hope you find a good home for your horse.

I had to give Magi up about 1 1/2 years ago. He has a wonderful home with other horses, so I am somewhat consoled. Magi and I had 19 wonderful years together. He was like a child to me. However, sometimes you have to make sacrifices, especially in this economy. Magi was a rescue horse, so he was spared a horrible life. I also take consolation in that fact. Thank you, though, for your sympathies. Believe me, I cried for weeks after letting him go. Thank you for stopping by for a visit as well.

Since I do not know the first things about these artsy things, I think it might be the angle of the light on the shed and the earth patch around it that brings to mind a ripe cantaloupe. I also like how the green cools the picture.

I also liked that little shed to. And Magi was/is the love of my life as far as critters go. He was my trail partner, buddy, and spoiled child for years. I think we were each others blessing.

when I was child I was dreaming of having horse so I can play with…but horse is unusual compare to cow or sheep in my country. Just people which have more money can have it (race horse). Nice share

I had ponies as a child. and have always ridden, since I was about 8 years old. But when the housing market collapsed, here in America, my income went with it. I was lucky enough to find a loving home for my dear, sweet, Magi. He is in good hands now, but he still owns (and always will) a piece of my heart. This guy was my friend as well as my trail partner. I am so happy that you stopped by to check him (and his run-in shed) out. Come again, anytime.

Thank you for stopping by. Magi was about 23 years old at the point in time, this photo was taken, so he’d mellowed into a sweet horse. I used to put my grandchildren on him and take them on ‘trail rides’. When I first got him, he was only 7 years old and ill-mannered. We grew together and turned out to be the best of trail buddies. I’m so happy he brought back memories for you. These photos bring back wonderful memories for me, as well.
