Kreative Blogger Award

Slowly, but surely, I am managing to get some of my awards posted. Lately, I’ve been trying to get my second book polished and published, which I finally did (in printed format anyway). Before I work on the e-book version though, I wanted to acknowledge the generosity of some of my fellow bloggers. Even though I’ve not posted these awards sooner, it does not mean I am any less grateful to those who chose to elect me. For this award: The Kreative Blogger Award, my thanks go to both Judee @ a round tuit and Vivian @ Positive Parental Participation. I am flattered that both of you ladies thought of me.

These are the rules:

You must thank the person who has given you the award.
Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
Link the person who has nominated you for the award.
Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
Nominate 7 other Kreative Bloggers.
Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
Leave a comment on each of the blogs to let them know they have been    nominated.

So… Seven things about me:

1.) I have red hair

2.) I used to spend my days trail riding (horses) and now I am turning my attention to writing children’s books.  Hopefully, one day, I’ll be able to saddle up again.

3.) I love ice cream in the summertime

4.) I love blueberries, anytime.

5.) My shoe size is 7 1/2 B.

6.) I was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, the home of our 3rd President, Thomas Jefferson.

The  Seven bloggers I would like to forward this award to are (in no particular order):

1.) Peaches

2.)Living Life in Glorious Color

3.)Lucid Gypsy

5.)Make Something Mondays

    • Thank you Micheal, brace yourself because you have ” A Very Inspiring Blogger Award” coming your way very soon. Consider this your announcement please. I’ll post it later tonight, or in the morning, as I’m still working on the draft. 😉 When you see the blog post, nab your award, please. And thanks for the congrats on this award in the meantime. 🙂

    • Thank you Vina. I am overwhelmed at the moment, I let quite a few stack up trying to get “The Orples Make A Tree Home”, published. You know what they say …”business before pleasure”. I still have 3 or 4 other groups of awards to post. Suddenly, I feel so special. LOL. Thanks for the congrats, Dear. When I come up for air, I’ll be hitting everyone’s blogs again to see what’s going on in the neighborhood so to speak.

  1. Dear Orples, funny thing is, I work in a botanical library for my day job, and your sweet orples are just, well, adorable, and mind-blowing! I think about them at work and at home, trying to figure out what they would taste like, what kind of hybridization techniques would work, and how I would introduce them to my son’s 3rd grade class at lunch! I even used to work in a produce market (I still go back to make fruit baskets during busy holidays) and think about marketing, and how they’d be so much better than the grapples, which had fake grape flavoring injected into apples. Thank you so much for the Kreative Blogger nom. It’s so rewarding! I never thought I would enjoy blogging as much as I do, and this is the first award for which I’ve been nominated. Thank you, dear, thank you. And when you go on your book tour, I will try to get you booked here in Pittsburgh!

    • Angela, you are so sweet and creative. I find it hard to believe with all of the creative goodies you offer on your site, you’ve not been elected for any awards, since you are so deserving. I don’t know when I’ll start a book tour … finances are not my friend right now, so I’ll have to wait and see. I might have to cyber-promote my books for now. Plus, I have another book “The Orples Learn To Read”, to turn out, so I can promote at least 3 books at one time. That book is written, but still needs editing, once I have tweaked a couple of things in the manuscript. I have the illustrations done for it too, but I many need to change a drawing or two, once my edit has been done, for layout out purposes. Once i have the third book finished, I hope I’ll know if “How Orples Came To Be’ Is selling, or not. That was my first book … the one that kicks this series off. I think I’ll have better luck trying to market them as a set. But I appreciate your offer. In the meantime, post your award proudly, you most certainly deserved it! 🙂 Have a great day, Marcy

    • Welcome aboard! I don’t always post oprles stuff, you just never know what you might see here, but the more the merrier, so welcome. 🙂 And thank you so much for the kudos. They are very much appreciated. Marcy

    • Thank you so much. The book is self-published, so I can’t claim but so many kudos for that. But I do take pride in my award(s). I have a few more to post, and am so grateful to all of those who thought of me. I was pushed to put my book on the market though, so had to complete that task before posting my honors. I am so fortunate to have found this site, with all of the encouragement that it offers. I just hope I am giving back, all that I have obtained, in meeting so many wonderful people. Thank you for stopping by and for the congratulations.

    • As always Sonel, thank you for stopping by. You are my own private little cheering section and it means so much to me to have you rooting me on. So as always, thank you for the congrats and the visit. It is always a pleasure! 😉

    • Thank you Madhu. I feel so overwhelmed. I didn’t realize I’d let so many stack up on me, while I was trying to get my book out. But of course, I am both flattered to all that nominated and very grateful as well. Thank you for stopping by with congrats, yet again. I also enjoy your visits. 😉

    • Thank you, Judee. Roof Trusses are prefabricated pieces of lumber held together with steel plates to create roof structures for buildings. My profession is really in Architecture, on an associates level. When I first graduated from college in 1986, I got a job with a building supply company designing trusses and ended up raising my kids, working there. It was supposed to have been a work/study job for college credit. You just never know where life might take you though, so here I am now, writing silly little orple books. Thank you for stopping by, and for the congrats again. I always love to see you out and about. I hope you’re having a lovely day! 🙂

    • Thank you, Gerry. I’ve not forgotten my 7.7.7 award, which still needs to be posted, along with a couple of others. I feel like I am cheating by batching these and giving credit to multiple people for one award, but I really have no choice. I appreciate you stopping by, and cheering me on. I always love to see you in cyberspace. Here’s wishing you a wonderful day!. 🙂

    • It was an interesting job when there was a housing market. It was nerve racking though, trying to keep up with customer demand during the apex of the market before the crash. Thanks for stopping by Cee. It is always a pleasure to see you. 🙂
