Sunday Photo Challenge. Design #4

I finished my kite drawing today. I am going to go ahead and post it now, before I send in on over to “Writing and Illustrating” for their March Illustration Entry, which will be published on their site on March 27th. There should be other entries there, other than mine, so be sure to mark your calendars.

Finished drawing of Jack and the orples getting the kite out of the tree.

I may try to work on getting the color to print right before I send this over to Kathy. The colors here are no where near as bright as they are on the hard copy print off. I’m still working on that little problem.

    • Thank you Sonel, I wish the colors had come out right, they are much brighter than shown here. I’ll get it figured out. I appreciate your stopping by to take a look. 🙂

    • Thank you. I hope it will fit into a book somewhere down the line, but if so, I’ll need to reformat it. This is for an entry for something else. I’m glad you like it. Thanks for stopping by. 😉

    • I know, I love spring, Mumsy. I just stepped outside, and was admiring a pink dogwood in the neighbors yard. I hope you’re enjoying some beautiful spring weather where you are. Hugs back and thanks for dropping by. 🙂

    • Thank you, Dolly. There is really no prize to be won. I think it is more of contest to display work in the event someone is looking for an illustrator and/or an opportunity to share drawings with each other. I should have done this illustration in an 8-1/2″ X 8-1/2″ format so I could have used it without revision in one of my upcoming books, should the opportunity present itself. Oh well, I’m glad you liked my drawing. And as always, I appreciate your visit. 😉

  1. So talented Orples! I love your illustration and the colors are beautiful. Now, I’m not sure how you feel about blog awards but I would like to leave the, Very Inspiring Blogger Award http://wp.me/p1RzUf-NB since you are an inspiring blogger. Feel no obligation to carry on with it . . . just my way of saying you are an inspiration. 🙂 Have a great day!

    • Thank you Ledia. I did this for a contest to be held later this month. There really isn’t any prize to be won, but it is an opportunity to get my name out there and for orples to get a little attention. Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate the feed back. 🙂

      • I wish you the best of luck with your writing. I keep meaning to go by and download the Kindle version of your book. I will do it, hopefully this week. My days seem to be so busy they just run one right into another.

        • Thank you Ledia. I’ve never seen the e-version myself. I paid to have it compiled, so I hope the publisher did a good job. I am sure it differs from the original book. I have just had book 2 of the series published through amazon, but the e-book on that hasn’t come out yet. I’ve been reading your book (you can tell what I’ve read to date by the likes), but want to hold off commenting until I’ve read the whole thing. I stuck my foot in my mouth by commenting too soon, the last time. Anyway, I love what you’ve written so far. I know what you mean about busy. Whew, there just aren’t enough hours in the day!.
